Tohoku District Meeting 2012
The Misawa Church of God in Christ 2012 District Meeting will be May 14-20, 2012. The theme for 2012 is "Continuing in Victory," (1 Corinthians 15:58) Schedule for weekly services are being plan are TBD during the weekday. On Saturday, May 19, the church will have a formal dinner at Kizan's. 30 seats are available and tickets go on sales on 15 April. If you have already committed to a pledge for the District meeting, this cost is already covered. All ticket sales will end on May 13. Service for "Official Day" will start at 10am promptly. Immediately afterwards, the church will have its closeout dinner at New Miyaki's in celebration of a successful District Meeting and Pastoral Anniversary. This year we will be offering souvenir journals, but with a twist. If you committed to a pledge your ad is free. The souvenir journals are congratulatory pages to the District. Everybody should submit an ad. It's Free!! What a wonderful word, FREE!!!!! If you have not committed to a pledge, ad submission are $10 for a 1/2 page ad and a love gift of $20 or more for a full-page ad. In addition, we will host a formal dinner and will attempt and plan to have a fashion show. The theme for the fashion show is, "How To Dress and Still Look Sanctified." We can still dress and look attractive when we go to church, out on the town or even for success/business and still look sanctified. Greetings Saints of God, Misawa COGIC is updating and testing its' current website. Some test will be tested live and you may get tweets or emails as we perform these tests. Rest assured, that as we move into 2012, we desire to keep you current and informed with what is going on here at Misawa COGIC and Japan. Some things that we are working on are donations and contributions online. From the comforts of your home you will be able to give to a number of causes, as well as tithe. We will also reintroduce the links of the other churches in the Jurisdiction as we clean our metadata information when using search engines. As we continue to develop and streamline our processes in getting information to you, please bear with us as we update and keep current our content on this site. We hope to have our site completed by March 1, 2012. Until then, our site will remain basic with current information and you will see changes from time to time.
